This 120cc Yixing Clay Duo Qiu teapot is made from Dicaoqing Ni, and by Yixing local tea ware artist. It is a traditional Chinese teapot, ideal for brewing oolong and pu‘er tea. The pot has a simple yet elegant design, with a curved spout and two handles. The clay is a dark brown color, with a smooth, matte finish.
Founded by Xu Xiaoen and Liu Jingying, both National Certified Arts and Craft Artist. Xu Xiaoen was mentored by his aunt Xu Yufang (master from Factory 1), and later received guidance from masters Xu Hantang and Xu Xiutang. He believes that the key to making excellent teapots lies in meticulous craftsmanship, and his works are characterized by their strength and flexibility. Liu Jingying, trained under Xu Yufang and influenced by master Xu Xiutang, focuses on traditional plain wares, known for their elegance and simplicity.
The studio also has inhouse artisans Liu Junfeng, Guan Wenda, Jin Yu, and Xia Ning. It also maintains strong connections with local Yixing artists and studios, occasionally presenting their collaborative works.
